Steve Elman and Fred Brunswick of Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, East Rutherford, brokered the sale on behalf of Crown Equipment. Neither the terms of the transaction nor the sale price were disclosed.
Crown Equipment is a 56-year-old, family-owned company headquartered in New Bremen, OH. The company will use the facility to consolidate and expand operations that have been located in Elmwood Park and West Paterson, NJ. "Our client wanted a custom-built corporate facility in northern New Jersey, with easy access to the state's eastern and western regions, as well as to New York State," according to Elman.
Situated on a four-acre site, the single-story structure is the second one that has been built by Ropper LLC within Oakland Industrial Park. The company previously developed a 70,000-sf building, and currently owns a 30,000-sf structure there as well.
