But the report points out that London Heathrow--long seen as thehottest airport in property terms--has been overtaken, with manyregional hubs showing faster rental growth for both office andindustrial properties. Passenger numbers at regional airports havegrown by 6.4% per annum in recent years, while London's airportshave grown by 5.5%. Likewise, freight volumes handled have growneven faster at 9% for regional airports and 6.4% for Londonairports.

The report concludes that commercial property surrounding UKairports will continue to represent one of the strongest areas ofinvestment and development in the UK, attracting premium values ofaround 20% above average and offering greater growth potential forthe future.
