With the Yawkey Trust's 53% interest in the team valued at approximately $300 million, any new owner would want to recoup some of that through luxury box sales and a larger ballpark. Other plans floated would move the team to another part of the city should the buyer be unable to redevelop the area. The team had stated that the deadline for bidding was Thursday, Nov. 29. Calls to the Red Sox organization were not returned.
