Casino Profits Rise On 30% Revenue Jump

BLACK HAWK, CO-While third-quarter revenues increase to $26 million, Black Hawk Gaming & Development's profits rise only $50,000 to $1.55 million, keeping earnings per share even. Black Hawk's boss continues his acquisition plans.

Revenues at the casino based in Black Hawk, a mountain community west of Golden, increased to $26 million from $20 million during the third quarter of 2000.

In another matter, the company granted Jeffrey P. Jacobs an extension until April 1 to complete his planned acquisition of the company. Jacobs is the chairman and chief executive officer of Black Hawk Gaming.
