Wiggins was instrumental in the sale of BLT Technologies Inc to MCI WorldCom Inc. and served as the subsidiary's president and chief operating officer through 1998. As chief executive officer of LegalAnywhere Inc., Wiggins negotiated the sale of the legal services collaboration company to Niku Corporation in early 2000. Wiggins currently serves on the board of Learning.com, Inc., a provider of internet-delivered technology literacy curriculum, and advises other companies, including SnapNames.com Inc.
Brought onto the board at the same time was Ted Ackerley, vice president of Ackerley Ventures Inc. and a member of the board of directors of its parent and leading media and entertainment company, The Ackerley Group, which recently announced a merger transaction with Clear Channel Communications, Inc. Existing DealPlanner directors include Bank of America Chief Economist, Mickey Levy, PhD, Liad Meidar, chief executive officer of i5 Digital LLC, and Robert Bergquist, chief executive officer and president of DealPlanner.
DealPlanner, which completed its first round of venture funding in August and is now out securing a second round, is developing software for managing sophisticated finance transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings and other corporate transactions. Transactional attorneys, bankers, accountants and their clients can collaborate and share confidential documents and contact information, conduct due diligence and manage other critical transaction processes within a fully-hosted, secure online environment.
