The buyer, Cal-Am Properties of Encino, was courting the seller, Larry Klaas of Silver Spur Holdings LLC in Mesa for 1 1/2 years, Jon Harrison, a senior sales associate for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. in Tucson, tells GlobeSt.com. Harrison said Klaas added 15 spaces to the community last year, taking the acreage to full build-out.

Silver Spur Village is situated in a residential area in the East Valley, where Mesa and Apache Junction serve as a hub for snowbirds. The manufactured housing community is restricted to residents 55 years and over.

Harrison represented the seller while Cal-Am used its acquisitions director, Steve Hester, to negotiate the deal. Cal-Am, a leading RV resort and manufactured housing owner, has several holdings in the region.
