Mobilier Holdings LLC of London bought the 24-acre dealership and service center from Auto Nation USA Corp. of Ft. Lauderdale. Mark Krison, Bob Crum and David Carder, all of CB Richard Ellis' Phoenix office, represented the buyer. "After looking throughout the East Valley for a new Mercedes-Benz location, Mobilier chose this site for its outstanding freeway exposure and great access to a potential customer base," Krison said in a press release. The surrounding area has developed into a magnet for upscale retailers and affluent residents.
The existing building is in line for a makeover while 10 acres are earmarked for a new structure to house automobile sales and service teams. The dealership will open in first quarter 2002.
