Best Lock Corp. has stamped a seven-year lease for a 7,623-sf freestanding industrial building at 10510 Markison in Dallas. Eric Gilbert, an associate for Grubb & Ellis Co. in Dallas, tells GlobeSt.com that a "superb deal" was cut with building owner TA/Western Associates Advisors for the vacant spot in the warehouse property.

Best Lock, says Gilbert, is experiencing particular success in the Texas market and predicts 2002 will bring even more growth for its keyless entry customer base. Several properties were screened in recent months. The firm was looking for a "niche" building with minimal office space. "It was a perfect fit," Gilbert says of Northgate II's Building 10. Representing the building owner was Blake Purnell of the Holt Co. in Dallas.

Henry S. Miller Commercial's Nathan Denton closed a 4,220-sf industrial pact for Forklift Repair at 6350 Singleton Rd. in Dallas.

In an office pact, ad agency Zimmerman & Partners renewed a 5,540-sf, class A spot in the Overlook at Las Colinas. The ad agency signed its first five-year renewal with building owner, Massachusetts Mutual. Jeff Peterson of Grubb & Ellis in Dallas represented the ad agency while Scott Walker of Transwestern Commercial Services in Dallas negotiated for the building owner. "The landlord made it very attractive for them to stay," Peterson tells GlobeSt.com.
