Impax Laboratories has acquired a 50,400-sf building in Hayward from Webcor, in a sale that is valued at $4.9 million. The property, which is located at 31153 San Antonio St., is situated on 4.5 acres of land.
Impax, which has another Hayward facility at 30831 Huntwood Ave., plans to use its new space as its headquarters and production facility. The company is a technology-focused pharmaceutical laboratory.
"This is a sizeable expansion for Impax," said Dan Bergen, a vice president with Colliers International, who, along with Ian Stuart of Colliers, brokered the sale on behalf of Webcor. "Biotech and drug companies continue to show encouraging growth patterns and Impax's expansion is a significant indicator of that growth."
John Steinbuch, a senior vice president with Colliers, represented Impax.
