Adams County will be using the facility for administration, maintenance and future growth, says Doug Bakke, the CB Richard Ellis broker in Denver who represented the district. About 130,000 sf will be leased back third-party tenants, he says.
The facility was initially constructed for Gerry Baby Products. When Gerry was acquired by Huffy Corp., the facility was no longer needed. In 1997, it was sold to Whole Foods, the natural grocer chain.
