Gafcon Gets Go Ahead for North Embarcadero

SAN DIEGO-The Port Commission has voted to allow the county to enter into a $275,000 contract with Gafcon construction management company for the $54 million North Embarcadero plan.

The one-year contract can be renewed annually for up to five years.

Gafcon will oversee the infrastructure project on the North Embarcadero, which stretches along San Diego Bay from Seaport Village to Lindbergh Field.

Partners in the project are the city and county of San Diego, the port and Centre City Development Corp., the city of San Diego's downtown redevelopment arm.
