The project, upon completion, will be home to McCarthy Building Co. Inc.'s Southwest Division office and SunCor Development Co. The eight-story office building is coming out of the ground at the Rio Salado Parkway's intersection with Mill Avenue.
McCarthy is the construction manager and general contractor. SunCor is the developer along with Benton-Robb Development Associates and Bay State Milling Co.
The class A office building has a restaurant and retail component on the plaza level. The project also features underground parking.
McCarthy will relocate its divisional office from 302 N. First Ave. in Phoenix into 16,800 sf at Hayden Ferry when it delivers. SunCor will be relocating from 3838 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. According to an inside source, pre-leasing is brisk. The amount of office and retail space that has been spoken for was unavailable from the listing broker by press time due to the holiday.
