Hotels judged on service levels, facilities, and the breadth of winter amenities each property offers. The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera wasn't No. 1 overall, though. That honor went to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in British Columbia.
Cordillera was ranked after the Fairmont Chateau. It was the only ski resort hotel in the Vail Valley or in Colorado to make the top three.
This is the second time the Lodge & Spa has been named the top US ski resort hotel by Conde Nast readers, who have visited each hotel they rank. Last year, the hotel was ranked No. 4.
