Keith K. Edwards and Keith P. Grothaus, both in the land division of Houston-based Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group, represented buyer and seller, Queenston Development, in the land transaction.
Edwards tells GlobeSt.com that Cypress Fairbanks ISD plans to use the property for a future school site. He did not know the timeline as to when the school would be built. Cypress Fairbanks operates seven high schools, 12 middle schools, 35 elementary schools and three alternative schools in its district.
Edwards says Austin-based Queenston Development purchased the property in 1998 and had planned to construct townhomes on the site. Those plans came to a halt in 2001 and the decision was made to sell.
