Located at 73373 Country Club Dr., the complex stands on a 24-acre parcel of land. The 512-unit complex consists of more than 20 buildings, according to Ernie Rivas, who was the in-house representative for JH Real Estate. Rivas, who describes San Tropez Apartments as the "premiere multifamily property in the Coachella Valley," says the deal took 90 days to close.

The seller, Irvine-based Beauchamp Realty Investors, was represented in-house by Tom Henschen.

"We feel there is potential for the market in this area," Rivas says. Indeed, the Inland Empire's multifamily market has matured in recent years, as strong job and population growth here has fueled the demand for additional apartment product.
