The CB Richard Ellis team was in the 811 Barton Building at 811 Barton Springs Rd. and L.J. Melody's was located in northwest Austin. Jerry Frey, the managing director of CB Richard Ellis in Austin, said the move will help the firms work more closely. "The synergistic effect from operating out of adjacent space with Melody should be substantial," he said. "Our client base and daily activities have quite a bit of overlap."
Charles Dixon of CB Richard Ellis has represented the company and Ralph Bistline of Prentiss Properties handled talks for his firm.
