$5.5-Mil Refinancing Clears for SW Houston Complex

HOUSTON-Mikob Properties of Houston gets a $5.5-million loan from Freddie Mac for its 135-unit second phase to the 316-unit Kensington Club Apartments in Southwest Houston. A NorthMarq Capital team in Houston arranged the refinancing.

Kensington Club II apartments is situated on about 6 1/2 acres near US Highway 10 and North Kirkwood in the Memorial Drive-Briar Forest area near the energy corridor. Kensington Club II is the second phase to the 316-unit Kensington Club Apartments at 14250 Kimberley.

A NorthMarq analyst says the owner, Houston-based Mikob Properties, built the complex in 1971 and renovated it in 1985. Apartments are advertised at $615 per month for a one bedroom and $900 for a two bedroom.
