The building, which is less than 10 years old, was sold by Marco Investments, a Houston-based joint venture company. The property is located between Richmond and Westheimer near Kirby. Danny Nguyen, who's not related to the buyer, of Houston's Yancey-Hausman & Associates represented the buyers. Kenneth Katz of the Houston office of Wulfe & Co. negotiated for Marco Investments. The building previously was used as a furniture store.
The brokers were mum on the sales price, but the advertised price was $750,000. Nguyen tells GlobeSt.com that the price to buy the building was the same as lease rates for other buildings, so the Nguyens decided to the way to go was to buy.
Danny Nguyen says he specializes in helping Asian entrepreneurs find the right real estate for their businesses. Nguyen, who also hosts a Vietnamese talk show called the "Business Forum," says his language and cultural skills are definite pluses for the niche practice.
