The 90%-leased center is situated at the intersection of Eldridge and Enclave parkways, a half mile south of Memorial Drive in the Energy Corridor submarket. Houston-based Vista Equities Group developed and owns the shopping center, the seventh in its portfolio. Vista Equities president Woody Mann tells GlobeSt.com that a four-acre tract in the far northwest submarket has been bought. That site will hold the 29,000-sf Plazas at Longwood, ticketed for the juncture of Louetta and Grant roads. He has signed McDonald's to the location. Two more Houston-area centers are on the drawing boards and should get under way in the fourth quarter, he says.
The Plazas at the Parkway's tenant roster includes Cafe Red Onion, Houston Barbeque and Josephine's Day Spa and Salon. It also will bring a dentist, Italian bistro and French bakery to the area which, Mann says, is "a slam dunk location." Within close proximity are high-end residential developments and the corridor's 1.5 million sf of class A space.
