The addition is in the form of Bill Burns, whose experience includes 13 years with Sobrato Development Co as a SVP of development focused on office and R&D development. His activities included market analysis, joint venture and lease negotiations, entitlement, design, construction and financing of both build-to-suit and speculative projects.
Specific projects he's been involved in include the 400-home San Mateo Bridgepointe project, a 480,000-sf lease for Siebel Systems, and a 17-story office tower at 488 South Almaden in downtown San Jose.
Burns has also been involved in the refinance, rehabilitation and renovation of existing buildings. Prior to joining Sobrato, Burns was a partner with Devcon handling the development of office/R&D projects including Northport Business Park in Fremont. In addition, Burns is a past president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the NAIOP.
