The tenant has signed a 10-year lease for the 28-story, 476,373-sf tower, positioned at 40 N. Central Ave. In a departure from the norm for the metro region, the lease's value is being withheld.
Lewis and Roca employ 125 attorneys in the high-rise. The firm's managing partner Jose Cardenas says remaining near the courts and Capitol help the firm to provide the best legal representation possible to its clients. "The firm also supports the revitalization of downtown Phoenix and the Downtown Phoenix Partnership," says Cardenas. "We believe that staying in the Renaissance Two tower signifies our commitment to the successful growth of downtown Phoenix."
Jay Hoselton, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc., Sherry Cushman of Julien J. Studley Inc. of Washington, DC and Stephen Walbridge of the Los Angeles office of Lincoln Property Co. represented the tenant at the bargaining table. Building owner Crescent Real Estate Funding II LP, a subsidiary of Fort Worth-based Crescent Real Estate Equities Co., used Grubb & Ellis Co. brokers Larry Downey and Jerry Jacobs to negotiate the long-term pact.
