According to Robert A. Rauch, "the Homewood Suites caters to those who stay five nights or more while the Hilton Garden Inn is a compact full-service hotel with restaurant, lounge and retail/meeting space.
"We feel these quality Hilton brands will be highly compatible and fit nicely into the Torrey Hills area," Rauch says.
The combined $26 million hotel project will be located in Torrey Hills at the corner of Vista Sorrento Parkway and Ocean Bluff Avenue. The hotels will be situated on a 3.7-acre parcel in a combination residential/business neighborhood in the fastest growth area in San Diego County.
The project team below includes Robert A. Rauch, CHA, as general manager and Jerry W. Brooks as director of operations. Rauch and Brooks have managed hotels together for over 20 years. The first hotel, Homewood Suites, is slated to open in time for the next Super Bowl, scheduled for San Diego next January.
