John Childers and Kevin Kimbrough, both of Colliers Oxford Commercial in Austin, represented Weston and Janet Wise of Stanberry Commercial bargained for Eagle Ward. A three-building development, 5300 Bee Cave, is leased by Matt Mathias and Co. The deal puts Eagle Ward into a space with first-floor lobby exposure.
Childers says the deal is a barometer of sublease deals getting done. "It's a good example of how there aren't necessarily huge users out on the market right now, but 5,000 sf off the sublease list is another 5,000 sf off the sublease list," he says.
In another medical transaction, Dr. Jim Kemper/Ear Specialists of Austin, LLC leased 3,014 sf at Plaza 7000, 7000 N. MoPac Expressway, owned and leased by the Kucera Cos.. Greg Johnston of Colliers represented the tenant, who moved from a smaller space. Steve McMillon of Kucera Cos. cut the deal for Kucera.
