According to property records, the seller, Gold Realty, realized a gross profit of nearly $900,000 after holding the property in the Crawford Industrial District, which includes nearly five acres, for nine months.
Rosemont, IL-based Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc. represented both buyer and seller in the deal, its second involving the same property. It represented B-Way Corp.and Gold Realty in their 2001 transaction.
Principal David Kahnweiler, SIOR and senior vice president Vernon F. Schultz represented the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Senior vice president Jack H. Rosenberg, SIOR, vice president James F. Pater and senior associate Charles V. Canale were involved in the sale between B-Way and Gold Realty.
