The property, known as the Darwin Technology Center, is located in the Carlsbad Research Center at 5937-5939 Darwin Court. Morgan-Alton, Ltd. was the buyer. The seller was Darwin Tech LLC.

Completed in 2001, the project is 100% leased. Major tenants include McGraw-Hill Companies, Sultzer Dental and Sound Technologies.
In another industrial transaction, Longust Distributing Inc. signed a five-year lease for an 8,595-sf distribution space at 7950 Stromesa Court. The space will be used as a warehouse and office for the wholesale distribution of flooring products.
Duncan Dodd, Phillip Linton and Andrew Ewald of Grubb & Ellis represented the lessee in the $335,000 deal. Bob Mooney of Business Real Estate represented the lessor, Jaime & Dena Cardenas.
