The mall marks the 51st project in which Westcor and The Weitz Co. have teamed up. Larry Mohr, president southwest division of The Weitz Co. says, "We began working with the developer [Westcor] in 1981 and today Prescott Gateway marks our 51st completed project together."
Phoenix-based architectural firm, Ellerman & Schick, designed the mall. Construction began on the facility in February of 2001. The mall includes 147,443 sf of interior stores and restaurants. Additionally, Prescott Gateway has over 260,000 sf of anchor stores and a 154,000 sf outdoor village with shops and restaurants. Other projects currently underway include the Four Seasons Private Estates and Club Sedona at Seven Canyons.
