The Northwest Houston center was completed just six months ago and is already 100% leased. The activity, says developer Florida-based Regency Centers, pushed the expansion off the drawing boards. Regency vice president Patrick Egan says the 67,000-sf Randalls grocery store, which anchors the center, "has been doing very well, exceeding sales expectations for such a brand new store." Retailers' brisk sales across the board also precipitated the decision to go forward with the expansion.

The center's tenant roster includes Quizno's Subs, Pilgrim Cleaners, Post Net, Sun Dental, Wilkinson Family Orthodontics, TGF Haircutters and Valu Liquor. The additional space will be located on the east side of Randalls and opposite from the first phase of inline retail space. Construction on the new addition will begin this month to meet a summer completion target.
