The hotel is part of the $200-million mixed-use town square project situated on 32 acres. The development will eventually have 200,000 sf of retail space, 750,000 sf of class A office space, a new city hall and conference center.

A public-private partnership between Crestline, Stormont Hospitality Group LLC of Atlanta and the Sugar Land Town Square Development Authority, a municipal entity, are the main engines for the project. Southwest Bank of Texas and Regent Partners of Atlanta are the lenders.

The hotel will be finished in fall 2003. The nine-story hotel also will feature a two-story conference center with 25,000 net sf of meeting space, 15,500-sf ballroom, business center and executive board room and 184-seat restaurant and lounge.
