One mile north, Ryan Cos. US, Inc. is proposing to build a Kohl's department store at the northwest corner of Route 59 and 119th Street. A mile south in this suburb 35 miles southwest of Chicago, owners of the Plainfield Commons retail center have received a favorable plan commission recommendation allowing them to add a 3,645-sf bank with a drive-through to their plans.

* Westridge Court in west suburban Naperville,where space leases for $15 per sf to $25 per sf, is 96% leased with the signing of The Vitamin Shoppe to a 3,000-sf lease and Lifesource Blood Services taking 1,984 sf.
* Occupancy at Town Square in Wheaton has hit 98% with Nextel Cellular taking 1,700 sf.
* Marketplace of Matteson in that south suburb is 85% leased with Lula's Flowers & Gifts taking 1,200 sf.
* MC Jewelry's lease of 2,000 sf at Kedzie Plaza South makes that center at 47th Street and Kedize Ave. on Chicago's South Side 100% leased.
