Carl Johnson and Sheila Hansbury, both of the Scottsdale office of Johnson & Associates, represented the seller, 12 W. Main Street LLC. Hansbury tells GlobeSt.com that the 43-year-old building is located in an older section of downtown Mesa that currently is undergoing a city-led redevelopment. The building is located near several city-owned buildings, she says. Hansbury says there was a lot of interest in the building, especially from antique dealers and other retailers interested in locating near or within the bounds of the redevelopment project.
The building was on the market about 3 1/2 months and triggered inquiries about its availability even after it was put into escrow. Frank Bennett of Frank Bennett Realty in Mesa represented the buyer. Hansbury says Roberts has other investments in the Valley.
