The new product represents the development's fifth and sixth phases. San Carlos-based Wentz Group is the general contractor.
"Our biggest challenge in constructing Phases 5 and 6 of the Irvine Technology Center was working during the rainy season with an aggressive schedule," says Scott Mulkay, project manager for the Wentz Group. "We were able to complete the project in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the owner."
The five flex-tech buildings that comprise the campus are two-story, concrete tilt-ups with wood mezzanine and roof structures. LPA Inc. was the designer. Exterior amenities include a lighted pedestrian path, three courtyards with tables and benches, landscaping and grass lawns.
