Import Stone Inc.'s move into Dallas will be headed up by Ed Tolley and Barbara Fitzgerald, two long-time industry professionals who recently left IMS Stone in Dallas to strike out on their own. The location, now undergoing finish-out, will open in six to eightweeks, Sherri Chitwood, vice president of Chicago-based Transwestern Commercial Services' Dallas team, tells GlobeSt.com. She and Todd Jones. also a Transwestern vice president, represented the tenant. Denver-based ProLogis Trust used in-house representative Dayton Conklin to broker the five-year lease.

The 48,000 sf was vacant for just two weeks when the deal closed, Chitwood said. The teams sat down at the bargaining table as IKON Solutions started transitioning its move out of the four-year-old, multi-tenant building. She credits ProLogis with expediting the lease talks and ending a near one-year site search.

Dallas marks a significant geographical move for the importer, headquartered in Van Nuys, CA. Its other locations are in Seattle, San Marcos, Anaheim, Phoenix and Tucson.
