The 1120 Virginia Lane apartment complex was built in 1962 and is well situated in a neighborhood with close proximity to numerous retail and business centers, I-680, Highway 242, and public transportation.

Tom Woods of Moison Investment Company in San Leandro arranged the transaction on behalf of the individual buyer and seller.

According to Moison Investment Company, a commercial real estate brokerage and advisory services group, specializing in multi-family investment properties in California, the occupancy in the building's area is traditionally high because of the desirable location and moderate rents. Throughout Contra Costa counties, Moison says that technology-heavy pockets have seen apartment rents decline while areas of diverse employment tended to weather the storm better.
