Hampton Court Palace Site to See Mixed-Use Development

LONDON-Country & Metropolitan has bought a 3-acre site opposite Hampton Court Palace and adjoining Hampton Court Bridge. It plans to build a hotel, some retail units and office space and apartments there.

C&M is preparing a planning application for submission to the council with a view to starting on site within 12 months.

Country and Metropolitan Plc and Railtrack Plc are the joint landowners for the scheme, which is approximately 3 acres in total.

Stephen Wicks, Chief Executive of Country & Metropolitan said: 'We are delighted to have secured such an important Thameside project and look forward to working with Railtrack to develop this opportunity.'
