The 46,228 sf, three-story, class A suburban office project is located at 445 Marine View Ave. The 1.88-acre site features 498 feet of freeway frontage along Interstate 5 and panoramic views of the ocean and the Del Mar Race Track.
The owner and lessor is Hibicus Investments, Inc. A San Diego landmark, The Timbers was developed and designed in 1989 by the nationally recognized architectural team of Deems Lewis McKinley. The project features cantilevered cedar construction, a dramatic interior waterfall, atrium and Koi pond.
Ron Jacobson and John Hoffmann of Colliers International represented both the lessor and lessee in the transactions, which include a 5-year, 9,659-sf lease by Mountain Pacific Financial, dba Distinctive Properties, a Remax office, valued at $1.7 million. Distinctive Properties will occupy Suite 300 on June 1.
Other deals include a 5-year, 1,458 sf lease by United Title Company, valued at $263,000; and a 3-year, 1,206-sf lease by Sun Valley Building and Engineering, valued at $135,000.
