R.J. Global Technologies, an oil and gas service company, leased 13,388 sf at Legacy Park while Design Gallery, a carpet and tile installation company, signed for 4,600 sf. Jon Farris with the Houston office of Dallas-based Staubach Co. represented Design Gallery. David Dabbs and Todd Edmonds brokered on behalf of the building owner, the Betz Cos. of Houston

Rick Hollingsworth, Betz's industrial development vice president, is optimistic that more deals are just around the corner. "We have seen more inquiries this quarter in spite of economic events," he says in a prepared statement. The increased interest, he says, "proves Houston's core businesses are continuing to grow and move where the demographics are strong and access is better for servicing customers." Hollingsworth feels there has been a great response from companies looking to relocate to the "northwest growth" area and the building's homeport in the quadrant between US Highway 290 and Interstate 45.
