Lowe's Buys 20-Acre Site for 160,000-SF Store

BRICKTOWN, NJ-The home improvement chain, which has been expanding aggressively in the Garden State, will build its superstore prototype on the site.

Harold Wien, senior vice president of NAI/Eric Bram & Co., based in East Brunswick, NJ, represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction. The seller was not named, and the price and terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Lowe's currently has more than 530 home improvement stores in 37 states. Since the chain entered the New Jersey marketplace a few years ago, it has rapidly spread its brand in both the northern and southern halves of the state.
