CSI/Crown Inc. has been at the Rittiman East Business Park for about 10 years, according to its broker, Joe Carroll of Grubb & Ellis. He declined to disclose the length of the renewal.
Rittiman East offers 609,000 sf of manufacturing and distribution space at 5521 Business Park Dr. John Turcotte of REOC Property Services' San Antonio office represented the building owner, the Utah Retirement System, in the transaction.
CSI/Crown serves the floor-covering industry, providing logistics, transportation, warehousing, cutting services and installation supplies. CSI/Crown picks up carpet and other floor-covering products from manufacturers and consolidates the orders into truckloads comprised of different customer orders.
The freight is transported to CSI/Crown distribution service centers, such as the one in San Antonio and agent facilities throughout North America. The orders for each shipment are then delivered to contractors and floor-covering distributors, retailers and installers.
