Patterson joined forces with Ross Perot Jr. in January 1988 as part of the flagship team that made good on a promise to convert vast blocks of farmland--now totaling 15,000 acres crisscrossing multiple municipalities--into one of the leading distribution hubs in the US. The insider says Patterson's duties are being shared by Todd Platt, president of Hillwood Investments, and Mike Berry, president of Hillwood Properties. Patterson was not available for an interview by press time.

In other Dallas personnel news, Dan Arnold has been promoted to president of Henry S. Miller Commercial's corporate services division. In line with Arnold's move up the corporate ladder, Dan Polanchyck has rejoined the company as a senior vice president.

Arnold was executive vice president of the group. He has more than 30 years' experience in commercial real estate, working extensively with Fortune 500 firms.

Polanchyck went to an executive position at Cawley International about a year ago. An 18-year veteran, he was a top producer for Henry S. Miller for seven of his last eight years.

JPI also has lined up two shifts, with the lead change bringing Brad Taylor back from Denver. He is the new senior vice president and regional managing partner for Texas. The Dallas native has been with JPI for 12 years, most recently serving for five years as senior VP and regional managing partner for the firm's Rocky Mountain Region. His Texas return tasks him with development, construction and operations of all JPI communities in Texas.

In another JPI move, Kirk Motsenbocker is the new senior vice president of accounting and reporting. He has been a member of JPI's accounting and reporting teams for the last four years.
