The official grand opening here is slated for May 3, when The Container Store officials will cut the ribbon on a 28,000-sf freestanding outlet on Route 17, one of the state's prime retail thoroughfares. Company officials say they've been eyeing this market for several years.
The company, which also operates an online shopping business, is said to have other New Jersey locations in its sights for further expansion. Other markets being targeted include California, where two new stores will open later this year, as well as Long Island and Manhattan.
