The delegates toured the city, met with their counterparts in Denver, and heard presentations on Denver's approach to these key issues. Among the themes of the two-day trip are better cooperation among business and local units of government.

On the roster of the "Inter-City Leadership Visit" were Burton Dahlberg, president & COO, Kraus-Anderson Co.; Ken Johnson, president & CEO, St. Paul Port Authority; Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak; St. Paul Mayor Randy Kelly; Ted Mondale, chairman of the Metropolitan Council; Rip Rapson, president of the McKnight Foundation;Jac Sperling, CEO, Minnesota Wild; Mike Kelly, executive vice president of the Minnesota Vikings; Carol Johnson, superintendent of the Minneapolis PublicSchools; Patricia Harvey, superintendent of the St. Paul Public Schools; Jacques Koppel, president of Minnesota Technology; and Rebecca Yanisch, commissioner of the Minnesota department of trade and economic development.

The goals of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, which represents 2,000 member businesses in 68 Twin Cities metro communities, are to pursue an aggressive economic development, address regional issues, attract and retain workers and upgradeworkers' skills.
