Midway Home Entertainment, Inc., a developer, publisher and marketer of interactive entertainment software, has renewed at Canyon Vista, signing a 4 1/2 year, 44,847-sf lease valued at nearly $2.5 million.
Midway occupied 26,204 sf at 10110 Mesa Rim Road and leased an additional 18,643 sf. The company required more space for administrative offices, softwaredevelopment and game testing. Midway is headquartered in Chicago andmaintains an office in San Diego.
Marc Lipschitz of Voit Commercial Brokerage represented the lessor, BedfordProperty Investors and the lessee, Midway Home Entertainment. Lipschitzspecializes in the growing Sorrento Mesa sub-market representing tenants andowners looking for suitable space to either lease or to purchase.
The Sorrento Mesa area saw one of the largest real estate transactions of the year in San Diego County, with a partnership headed by The Shidler Group purchasing the 353,067-sf Seaview Corporate Center earlier this month for $62.5 million.
