Sunshine Terrace Rebuilt With $1M from MHFA

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN-The 65-unit publicly-owned multifamily rental building for senior citizens had to be rebuilt after flooding in 1997. A 2001 program provided relief to cities affected by the floods.

Sunshine Terrace is a publicly-owned development that serves the senior population.

The funds were awarded in the fall of 2001 from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's publicly owned permanent rental program, which was established to serve cities affected by the floods.

The new location of the development is within walking distance to a full range of retail, service, entertainment and commercial businesses and facilities. Other financing came from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
