Doug Nicholson Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Houston office brokered the sale. The seller, Bert McDaniel Trustee, is a three-decade-old partnership, Nicholson tells GlobeSt.com. He says Martin & Martin will retain about half of the property for the future development of a combo office, warehouse and manufacturing facility. Nicholson believes the plan is to sell the balance of the tract. Nicholson was mum on the sales price, but the asking price was about $25,000 per acre.
In an unrelated land sale, the Woodlands Academy Preparatory School purchased 30 acres along Kuykendahl, south of Spring Creek. Julie S. Tysor and C.W. "Cappy" Ricks, both of the Houston office of Colliers International, represented the buyer and Houston sellers Harry J. Gaston Jr. and Charles D. Browder Jr.
