Boscov's to Take Over 180,000 SF Montgomery Wards

WESTMINSTER, MD-Department store chain Boscov's will take over the former Montgomery Wards space at the TownMall of Westminster, and will redevelop the store into an 180,000-sf, 2-story department store.

The New York-headquartered fund management company represents mall owner Cranberry Mall Properties, LLC, which purchased the 525,000-sf mall from Shopco Regional Malls in 2000 for $33.5 million. Located at 400 North Center Street at Routes 140 and 27, the shopping center was first known as Cranberry Mall.

The new store will be Boscov's second Maryland location. Construction at the site will begin this summer and Boscov's plans to open the store next year.
