The life insurance company is leaving 2720 E. Camelback Rd. and heading into 27,000 sf in Galleria Corporate Centre at 4343 North Scottsdale Rd. The life insurance company's new neighbors include New York Life, which occupies 28,000 sf, and the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, a 50,000-sf tenant.
The Galleria Corporate Centre is a redeveloped $65-million, class A office and retail property with more than 600,000 sf positioned on nine acres. New York City-based JEMB Realty is the Galleria Corporate Centre owner. Its principals, Raymond Chalme and Joseph Jerome, brokered the long-term deal.
"Relocating from our Phoenix headquarters, we couldn't have picked a better class A location," says Denise Thoren, American Founders Life vice president. The Scottsdale address, she says, is readily accessible to employees. It also offers "great space and an overall desirable plan that holds enormous opportunities for the company," Thoren added in a prepared statement.
