City officials met with KPMG officials on Wednesday for preliminary discussion relating to the audit. Next week, the city will have a first official meeting with KPMG to discuss the scope and timing of the audit.
It is expected the audit will look at several areas including:
* Organizational structure, personnel and personnel management issues.
* Operating procedures relating to cash handling and accounting procedures.
* Current contract management procedures.
* Management of the city's parking assets.
