The new multi-building complex will rise on a former lima bean field that is now part of C.J. Segerstrom and Sons' Home Ranch development. Emulex's 10-year deal with C.J. Segerstrom and Sons calls for an initial phase of 180,000 sf and an expansion capability of up to 245,000 sf. The lease also includes an option to buy the entire project.
Emulex's new headquarters will better accommodate the company's growing space needs, according to Sadie Herrera, the firm's executive vice president of human resources and facilities. In addition, it is rising in a location that will be convenient for the firm's employees who live in Northern Orange County and Los Angeles, Herrera adds.
