Marfred Industries is currently occupying the building located near the confluence of the 210 and 118 Freeways at 12500 Foothill Blvd., in Sylmar. The building is adjacent to the manufacturing plant that Marfred has occupied for some 16 years. Approximately 150 people will be employed between the two buildings, according to Marvin Fenster, president and chairman of Marfred Industries. Employing in excess of 300 people overall, Marfred Industries Marfred has four locations, including facilities in North Hollywood and Lake View Terrace, and a 25,000 sf sales and distribution facility in Las Vegas, Nev.

Marfred Industries' new Sylmar facility is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 26-foot interior clearance, ground level truck loading and ample on-site parking. The acquisition brings the company's total building space in the Sylmar/Sun Valley area to approximately 450,000 sf.

The new building allows Marfred Industries to enjoy the efficiencies of contiguous buildings and to expand its warehousing capabilities for its box plant customers. Marfred Industries is in the process of linking the buildings physically to enhance both its trucking and communications activities.
