The county's industrial market will probably see an increase in deals in the coming months, as a Chapman University report says the region's manufacturing sector has entered into recovery mode. The university's Composite Index, which is used to measure manufacturing activity in the county, jumped sharply from 35.6 in the fourth quarter of 2001 to 56.3 in the first quarter of 2002. These figures signal the end of a recession and the start of a recovery, as any value of more than 50 indicates growth for the sector.
